A project I did in 2001. Power inverter and a standard PC. Windows 98 with Winamp as a shell, replacing explorer.exe. Crystalfontz with a LCD plugin for Winamp. Controlled via PS2 numpad. One long playlist, tracklist in the glovebox. Just enter the song number and it will load. Regular HDD, with no bad sectors even after daily driving over a railroad crossing. I changed the computer and audio at least one time. The car ended up beeing stolen, and then found without the carputer and stereo a few weeks later.
